Ealdra is a tabletop roleplaying game for one or more players, built on a rules-light, atmosphere-heavy framework designed for creating tales in a world of ancient myth.

The world is yet young and living, and even the trees and stones can talk. Elves dwell in their fay lands, while dwarves and goblins loom in their sunken halls, none too keen of the mortal man. Spirits linger in forgotten places, and monsters great and small yet roam the wilds.

Embody, then, an ancient hero in search of glory; steal from a dragon’s hoard, challenge a mighty warrior, and win a place among the great upon the benches of the king’s halls.

Play solo or in a group.

A simple 2d6 system handles both actions and combat; the rest is handled by an oracle using a standard deck of playing cards.

Characters are shaped by their role, kinship, wealth, fame, and even their hamingja.

More than 50 tables to help bring Ealdra to life: wilderness, encounters, monsters, landmarks, treasures, settlements, folk, omens and curses, sorcery, quests and more.
